Pulmonary function tests measure how efficiently the lungs take in and release air and move oxygen and other gasses into the body’s circulation.
The Springfield Medical Associates pulmonary laboratory is staffed by a Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist with more than 25 years of clinical experience.
We perform state-of-the-art pulmonary function testing along with oximetry studies (which evaluate oxygen levels in the blood) and arterial blood gas analysis in a laboratory that meets all state and national regulations. All testing is done under the direction of Springfield Medical Associates pulmonologists.
Extra attention is given to patient education about the disease process, proper use of medications, and smoking cessation in a compassionate and caring manner.
Appointments are available from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
